Currently, Ms Ericsson teaches at Ryerson University’s Chang School, Cedar Ridge Creative Centre and by contract for artistic groups and interior design firms. From 1991 to 2000 she served on the Executive of the Society for Canadian Artists including a term as President.
Sue Ericsson works in all drawing materials, watercolour and oil, alone and in combinations. The City of Toronto Archives houses two of her drawings and one painting.
Margaret Glew
Ms. Glew’s large scale abstractions explore issues of scale as it relates to the human body and the ways in which the form and scale of a painting embody its content. She finds parallels between her painting process (creation/ destruction/ recreation) and the natural, evolutionary and transformative forces that shape our environment and ways we define our relationship to it.
Margaret is an active member of the Toronto art community where she presently serves on the board of the John B. Aird Gallery. At the Aird she is involved in the mounting of two juried shows per year; the Drawing Show and the Print show. As well she works with the Aird’s annual fundraiser, Mistletoe Magic. For four years she was active member of the Loop Gallery collective and is an active member of PVAC/Gallery 1313, where she serves on the board, the program committee, and the mounting of PVAC exhibitions.
In 2007 she
was one of eight Canadian artists invited to participate in
“Parca Canada in
New York” at the 511 Gallery in Chelsea, NYC.
Her work is in many public and corporate collections. She
is represented by the Engine Gallery, Toronto.
